Business Sustainability
I have often thought that if I ran for public office, I would run on a platform of “Sustainability”. Don’t worry, I have neither the constitution, nor the backing. But it only stands to reason that I am compelled to run my businesses muttering the same mantra. You could call it my Personal Platform.
Some examples of Sustainability in a business context are:
- Living wages
- Staff development
- Fair trade
- Short supply chains
- Responsible materials use
- High product quality
- Reduce, reuse, recycle
We’re addressing environmental, social, and economic sustainability.
In this series, I will be discussing these issues and how Ellaroo addresses them in our daily decisions. It is terribly important for consumers to be aware of the real costs of the products that we purchase. Often, the low price at the register is just a fraction of the cost paid by the planet and her inhabitants in bringing a product to market.
Hey, did you know that today is America Recycles Day? You do recycle. Right?
